Saturday Spotlight 008: Fedde Le Grand – Darklight Sessions 205
Welcome back to Saturday Spotlight! Remember to check back every week to hear our spotlight mix. This week we have Fedde Le Grand with his Darklight Sessions 205. This is a nice progressive electro house mix with a lot of bass and beat.
To start us off we have “Over This” by Sonny Fodera. This track brings the bass in immediately. It’s catchy and grabs the listeners attention very well. It is accompanied by a great beat, creating the energy of the mix. Up next is the Enzo Siffredi remix of “Sunshine“. This includes repeated vocals and a crunchy bass, keeping with feel of the first song. “House Work” also has great bass, but adds in some more synth. The drums go crazy during this song, with some hard kicks and higher beats.Then “Give Good Love” really gets it going, with the bass rolling and some hyped synths on top.
A little later “Classic” comes in which has some nice repetitive bass, and is a great track to have in the middle of this mix. Then Fedde Le Grand drops his remix to “Insomnia“. This song has a beat and bass with a vocal on top telling a story of insomnia, but then the drop unleashes and the synths go, the bass goes, and the beat carries it all. After is a large collab remix to “Mantra“, which has a well time beat and bass that go well with its synth, making it a solid track.
Ending the mix is “Dark River” mashed up with “So Much Love” which fit together really well. “Wings” by Armand Van Helden tops it all off, which is also my favorite song of the mix. It has a supporting bass that fits well with the song. It’s higher synths are really nice and they travel with the song which adds a nice feel to the ending. This a solid mix here from Fedde Le Grand and it has a really nice mood to end the week. Check out Darklight Sessions 205 and check back next week for our mix of the week!
