Nicky Romero – Ready 2 Rumble [Protocol Recordings]

Nicky Romero always knows how to create big tracks, and “Ready 2 Rumble” simply adds to his already impressive discography.

The Protocol Recordings boss is now onto his third single of 2016. Previously, he released “Novell” and “Future Funk”. Fans who paid attention to detail know that this track has been floating around since April. “Ready 2 Rumble” saw tons of love at Tomorrowland Brasil, as well as Electric Love Festival in Austria.

This track is like a throwback to a very old Nicky Romero song. Back before Protocol’s founding, there was “Generation 303”. That tune came out on Musical Freedom, and oozed acid house sounds. Those sounds are back now, and sound better than ever. The breakdown features the acid sounds mixed with crowd cheers, as well as the “Let’s get ready to rumble!” vocal sample. All of those elements are important in the buildup, as well. The drop hits with a burst of powerful acid synths and a punchy bassline. This is yet another peaktime favorite from Nicky Romero!
