Saturday Spotlight 007: Delayers – Heroes Radioshow #127
Welcome back to Saturday Spotlight 007! Make sure to come back every week to hear our mix of the week. This week we have Delayers and their Heroes Radioshow #127. They have brought an interesting mix to the table, including some familiar songs and even some mashups which you don’t hear often.
To start off the mix is a Who Knows mashup of “Roses” by The Chainsmokers and “Faded” by Alan Walker. This is a nice soft start, tuning the key of “Roses” up a bit, and speeding it up as well. Up next is “Never Go Home” by Reebs, which has a very pleasant drop. It utilizes a high pitch flute sound as the top melody, with some nice chorus style vocals. Taking the third spot in the mix is another mashup made by Micro Akuma. This definitely takes the mix in a more progressive path and includes an energetic drop and strong beat.
A little later is a remix to “Coming Alive” that has a much harder drop than the previous songs, but definitely keeps the synth aspect around. It has good energy and a catchy beat. After that is “Surrender” which has lovely vocals and fast synths in the drop, changing it back from the previous harder drop. Then we jump right back back into the heat with “They Know“, which is a straight banger meant to get the crowd going. This mix has a lot of twists and turns which is definitely working for it.
Then the trio drops “Drop That” by Afrojack, continuing the the hard trend set by Delayers. After is “Goof” by Mosimann which brings out the big guns with the hard beat, low bass, and the crank that just screams go. “Diamonds” keeps the hard attitude so prevalent in this mix. This drop contains a beat and a solo synth with some vocal interjections and it just goes all over the place. Helping to close the mix down is is a remix to “Nothing Can Hold Us Down“, which has a nice flowing synth, a solid beat. And finally is “Bungo“, which ends the mix going hard. This has a well timed beat and some heavy bass that is just so nice to listen to.
I would have to say that my favorite song of the mix was “Happy Touch” by Arin Tone. It’s creative and gave the mix a different feel for a little bit. Awesome job to Delayers for making a nice deep mix that will end your week well. Come back next week to check out our spotlight mix and check out Heroes Radioshow #127 now!
