The Chainsmokers Perform “Don’t Let Me Down” on Good Morning America
The Chainsmokers have enjoyed a meteoric rise in their fame in recent months. That fame has earned them a spot on ABC’s Good Morning America.
The duo of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall has endured much since their days at Syracuse University and New York University, respectively. They’ve now topped the charts three times with “#Selfie,” “Roses,” and “Don’t Let Me Down”. The last single in that list is what brought them onto GMA.
They performed it live, but no, they did not just press play on CDJs and dance around. This was a real performance with Andrew on the guitar, Alex on the keyboard and Daya on vocals. They had some help from an extra percussionist and saxophone player. It really just goes to show that The Chainsmokers are not one-dimensional musicians. They did an awesome job with the live performance, and brought awesome energy for the 6 a.m. performance. In their words, “Trap at 6am is LIT”.
