Tom & Jame – Rise (Like A Thousand Suns) [July 4 – Revealed Recordings]
It’s time for another tune from the 7th edition of the Revealed Recordings compilation to get a full release.
This one comes from Tom & Jame, a duo that has quickly become a mainstay on the label. “Rise (Like A Thousand Suns)” follows up their last song “Hold Up,” which recently released via Dannic‘s Fonk Recordings. Along with a spot on the compilation, Hardwell played the instrumental mix in a mashup on the Ultra mainstage in Miami. “Rise (Like A Thousand Suns)” will be released on July 4.
As certain artists move away from having “signature sounds,” Tom & Jame stick to what works. The breakdown’s main focus is definitely the vocals, which come from an uncredited vocalist. The producers play around with the pitch of the vocals, and as a result, create a very unique sound. They unleash an unreal melody crafted from their trademark sharp synths next. “Rise (Like A Thousand Suns)” has a bit of an extended buildup, but it’s well worth it. The drop hits with a mix of progressive and electro sounds. Tom & Jame use thrilling synth combos and a substantial bassline to bring this next hit together.
