Very rarely do we see fantastic vocal songs as free downloads. However, “Shots Fired” changes that perception.
This record is the result of a big collaboration between BL3R and Wasback, as they combined their talents for the first time. “Shots Fired” also received a contribution from vocalist Roxanne Emery, the sister of trance DJ/producer Gareth Emery. “Shots Fired” is out as a free download in conjunction with Metanoia Music.
As music fans, we are very lucky to receive this track for free. BL3R and Wasback kick off the breakdown with a loud breakdown. Consisting of a mellow bed of synths and powerful vocals, they did a fantastic job with the contrasting volume levels. The producers really need no help with intensifying the breakdown. Roxanne Emery does that on her own with her voice. This, then, sets up a seamless transition to the buildup, marked by the addition of more percussion. The drop that comes next is astounding. Sharp electro synths dominate the top line, while an edgy bassline makes “Shots Fired” tuned for the mainstage.
