Manse feat. Alice Berg – Freeze Time (The Remixes) [Revealed Recordings]
After getting his name out by winning the remix contest for 3LAU and Paris & Simo‘s “Escape” back in 2013, Manse has found a way to return the favor. The Swedish DJ/producer was one of three remixers selected to be featured on the official release, and has experienced an incredibly bright career ever since. He is now the artist being remixed, as he joined forces with Revealed Recordings to sponsor a remix contest for what became his first single on the label, titled “Freeze Time” with Alice Berg. That vocal has become unmistakable, and the sound of the original mix set a high standard that Manse has met and exceeded ever since. Since its release, it has amassed over 1 million plays on streaming service Spotify. Four remixes ended up making the official cut. Jack Quade & Eldar kick it off with an energetic progressive trap take, combining the strength of the vocals with a lively baseline. The No. 2 spot belongs to Harrison Ryan, who ditches the 4/4 time signature to use unique bassline and creatively chopped vocals to add his touch. Felicity takes on the third spot, and takes on the challenge of progressive house beautifully with a brand new chord progression and jaw dropping instrumentation. The last remix comes from Halcyon, who brings another trap take that is a bit more down and dirty than the other one on the EP. Clearly, Manse has made great selections with the “Freeze Time” remixes, and these guys are hoping they can emulate his success after winning!
