D-Block of D-Block & S-te-Fan Suffers Collarbone Fracture in Football Accident
Injuries always tend to sneak up when you least expect them, like a DJ getting injured playing football. That is the case with Diederik Bakker, more well known as D-Block in the duo D-Block & S-te-Fan.
The duo announced on Sunday via Facebook that Bakker had fractured his collarbone in multiple spots playing football, and was required to remain in the hospital for monitoring. He is shown in a picture with his right arm in a sling, but appeared to be resting comfortably. So far, there is no word on whether or not he will have to miss any gigs due to the injury.
Their official website lists a few gigs throughout the Netherlands in the next couple of days, and they are also listed on the official lineup for the upcoming Las Vegas edition of Electric Daisy Carnival on June 17 to June 19.
As someone who has been through a similar injury, I know that a full recovery is possible with rest. Diederik will just need to fistbump with his left arm for a few weeks. Hopefully, he can stay on tour this summer. We wish D-Block the best, and a speedy recovery!
