Maestro Harrell – Siren [Armada Trice]
I don’t think you can find as consistent of a producer as Maestro Harrell. The man just keeps pumping out solid track after solid track, and “Siren” is absolutely no exception. He is a producer that really shows no hesitation in trying new sounds, and combines two of his strengths on this record. “Siren” is a tune that really nails that melodic progressive house sound that cuts with that electro house edge. What starts as a mellow breakdown soon gains an infectious intensity with growing layers of synths and expanding chord progressions. The song appears to get its name from a high-pitched sound that really pushes the energy to another level in the breakdown. Things get even crazier after Maestro Harrell starts to build the track up with intricate percussion. After a few cowbell hits, “Siren” drops into a cascading collision of sounds that has the progressive melody but the full-bodied electro sound. All in all, this record is yet another big cohesive piece out of Maestro Harrell‘s studio that really exceeds expectations once again. The man can’t be stopped, but I don’t think that anyone wants him to.
