Bingo Players – Tom’s Diner (Bingo Players 2016 Re-Work) [Spinnin’ Records]
Revisiting old favorites has become a very popular trend recently in the music industry, and who better to reprise an old tune than the original artist. Bingo Players dropped “Tom’s Diner” back in 2010 on Sneakerz Music, and that music video has over 1 million views. Now that six years have passed, that infectious track has come back for a fantastic re-work. The original mix has that vocal in the breakdown that is just a simple female vocalist singing a melody, but that sound is so catchy that you’ll have it stuck in your head for days. Of course, that remains in the re-work, and serves as the primary, and really only, element in the breakdown. It may seem simple, but it actually is much more effective than one would normally assume. The drop still pays homage to the mellowed out style of the original, but adds a modern flair with a future house-styled top synth. It still brings a ton of energy, and is sure to be a popular daytime smash for DJs all around the world. “Tom’s Diner” is just as good now in 2016 as it was back when it was brand-new six years ago. This track is just part of the celebration of ten years of Bingo Players!
