Jonas Blue – Fast Car (Krunk & Dimatik Bootleg)
At first glance, one would probably assume that this remix would be Melbourne bounce style. That is, of course, one of the musical specialties that Australian producers Krunk and Dimatik have in their respective bags of tricks. However, this bootleg is a fantastic surprise: a perfect progressive house rework. They took on Jonas Blue‘s recent revival of “Fast Car,” and certainly worked their magic on this tune. The vocals still sound pretty good at the faster tempo, and the producers did the perfect job of working original percussion in alongside the emotional lyrics. Once the chorus runs its course, Krunk and Dimatik unleash a slick melody that creates a beautiful rush of euphoria. That melody is an integral part of the track from then on, as it joins forces with a sharp bassline and punchy to create a drop that perfectly complements the mood of the vocals. The second breakdown puts all of those components listed together in a beautiful fashion, as the vocals sound excellent mixed with the melody crafted by Krunk and Dimatik. This “Fast Car” bootleg is available as a free download, and is easily the best rework I’ve heard of this track to date.
