Muzzaik & Stadiumx – So Much Love [SPRS]

To be completely honest with you, we still haven’t deciphered the point of SPRS. Regardless of the Spinnin’ Records sub-label’s intentions, it brings a fantastic new collaboration between Muzzaik and Stadiumx. “So Much Love” samples Fedde Le Grand‘s classic 2011 single of the same name, but effectively brings it into 2016 with an energetic flip. The vocals appear identical to the older version, and the real departure from the original actually begins after the vocals have finished. Muzzaik and Stadiumx introduce a brand-new, upbeat melody into the mix that really redefines what this track is about. That melody remains as an important piece throughout the remainder of the track, as it also serves as the chord progression for the drops. “So Much Love” infuses a baseline that is halfway between electro house and future house to mix in a whole new layer of dynamic energy. Those trademark hi hat drums that you here in just about every house song make an appearance as well, which really completes the atmosphere that Muzzaik and Stadiumx wanted on “So Much Love”. These producers took a bit of a risk by taking on a classic, but certainly treated it with respect, and released a fantastic product.
