Sandro Silva – Spartan [Mainstage Music]
If you like the percussive big-room sound that dominated 2013, you really have Sandro Silva to thank for it. The Dutchman teamed up with fellow countryman, Quintino, on “Epic,” and that track has influenced a large amount of tunes that have dropped since that year. That sound is still alive and well in his own productions, especially his next single by the name of “Spartan”. This tune is signed to W&W‘s Mainstage Music imprint, and packs an absolutely massive sound into one track of about four minutes’ length. They say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” and Sandro Silva has not changed a thing from his signature formula for big-room bangers. “Spartan” hits hard with a pounding bass kick, which he matched together with a percussive pluck to create a catchy chord progression. The middle breakdown gives the listener time to recharge, and prepare for yet another round of big room craziness in the second drop. Sandro Silva keeps “Spartan” from being too repetitive by adding other types of percussion in all the right areas. The big-room sound is still highly effective when done correctly, and there is no one better at it than Sandro Silva.
