Headhunterz & Skytech – Kundalini [Spinnin’ Records]
Just when you thought your summer festival playlist was full, Headhunterz and Skytech had other ideas. These two producers have created massive tracks separately, and by combining their talents, have created something perfect for the mainstage. That record is titled “Kundalini,” which is a type of primal energy in yogic theory. That name is entirely appropriate for the song, as one of its strongest attributes is its consistent energy from start to finish. The breakdown kicks off with powerful vocals that are quickly joined with simple percussion. A slick melody crafted from hardstyle-influenced synths takes over quickly, as Headhunterz and Skytech are clearly trying to crank the power on “Kundalini” even higher. The drop synth and chord progression are actually teased by the two producers during the buildup, as those sounds unite alongside intricate percussion. After a quick vocal fill, the drop on “Kundalini” takes over, and it packs a huge punch. Headhunterz and Skytech did a really good job to keep the sound fresh throughout the drop by adding little nuances to the melody all throughout. The bassline has that energetic big-room punch to it that perfectly complements the synth choices. In short, if you need a big track, look no further than “Kundalini”.
