Kygo Announces First Studio Album “Cloud Nine”
As the fastest artist to one billion Spotify streams in 2015, Kygo has just upped his game tremendously in the new year. He has been teasing his fans since February about the release of his first studio album, and now the details around Cloud Nine have come to light. The album will release on May 13, 2016, via Sony Music International/Ultra Music.
“I am so excited to announce the final details of my debut studio album, ‘Cloud Nine.’ I’ve been working on it nonstop over the last 18 months and have been lucky enough to work with some incredibly talented artists along the way. I’m really looking forward to showing everyone the result this May and being able to finally get the music out to my fans, who give me the best support in the world!”
– Kygo
The album spans 15 tracks, and features hit singles like “Firestone,” “Stole The Show,” “Nothing Left,” and “Stay”. Together with the announcement of the album, you can also pre-order the next lead single, which features Labrinth and is titled “Fragile”. This single strays from the tropical house song that brought him to fame, but showcases the Norwegian’s incredible musical talent. If “Fragile” is any indication about what we can expect from the remaining 10 unknown tracks, we will see a powerful variety of songs that do not necessarily fit Kygo‘s tropical house mold. Take a listen to his album preview, as well as “Fragile” below!
