Paul Van Dyk Hospitalized After Fall From Stage at ASOT Utrecht

German trance icon Paul Van Dyk fell from the mainstage at last night’s A State of Trance event in Utrecht, and was brought to the hospital. The news came out after the mainstage of the event was closed out of respect for the injury. Armin van Buuren was scheduled to close the event with a vinyl set, but ultimately decided to keep the mainstage quiet. All other stages remained open until the event’s curfew.
Paul Van Dyk‘s management team posted an update about his condition after he had been hospitalized, stating that he was in the hospital and promising further information when it becomes available. Fellow trance producer Markus Schulz announced that he was going to fill in for Paul Van Dyk‘s headlining slot at Mexico’s edition of Electric Daisy Carnival.
12 hours in LA done. Now straight to airport for @edc_mexico in place of our friend @paulvandyk. Get better soon, will honor you tonight.

We wish Paul nothing but the best, and hope his recovery is quick.
