Dannic & HIIO – Funky Time [Fonk Recordings]

Today marks a huge date for Dannic, as his Fonk Recordings imprint has finally made it off the ground. The Dutchman teamed up with Argentinian duo HIIO to bring “Funky Time” to life. This tune sets the bar very high for the new label, and that is simply a testament to how strong these producers are. “Funky Time” rocks a sound that you would expect from its title, as it runs with an infectious groove from start to finish. Dannic and HIIO artfully constructed this track with an acid house-influenced lead synth for the breakdown, and mixed that together with a solid percussive sequence. Once you throw all of that together with a pulsating bassline, and entrancing top line, you realize that Dannic and HIIO have put together a supreme peak-time track. Do not be surprised when you see “Funky Time” dominating the radio waves or DJ sets in the coming weeks.
