The Dutch duo known as Bali Bandits has been running under the radar for a while now. That won’t last too much longer at this rate, as they bring another huge single to Revealed Recordings. “Mr. Meow” is yet another impressive offering from the duo that sounds nothing like the last tune they released. That kind of variety is rare and under-appreciated in today’s music industry. The breakdown has a highly unique vibe to it, with a combination of synth work and vocal stabs. The vocal stabs deserve special recognition, as they are pitched in a perfect style to create a sweet chord progression. “Mr. Meow” continues to have a focus on its melodic aspects into the drops. The Bali Bandits managed to work a highly dynamic bassline alongside a pluck synth, but keep the sound far away from generic big-room. This tunes shows off the duo’s incredible talent, as well as a bright future for releases after “Mr. Meow”.
