Julian Calor – Revive [February 8 – Revealed Recordings]
After a red-hot 2015, Julian Calor brings his talents into the new year. Singles like “Power” and the entire Evolve album mark massive career highlights ever since he was discovered via the first Revealed Talent EP. He joined Hardwell during last week’s livestream of Hardwell On Air 250 to help debut his new tune “Revive”. The last output from the young Dutch talent was a free download titled “Childhood,” and his last appearance on the Revealed Recordings was the aforementioned single, “Power”. This new track “Revive” will be available via the very same label on February 8.
Julian Calor has expressed his desire to work in differing genres, and does just that in the beginning of the breakdown. He created a mellow vibe, combining a relaxed set of synths with a hip-hop style drum construction. That sound moves quickly into a wild melody, which is something that Julian Calor has mastered since his introduction to the mainstream house music scene. Seamlessly, the melody crossfades into a suspenseful buildup. The drop hits hard, but has a sweet melodic quality to it. That balance is a trademark from Julian Calor, and he has worked it in on “Revive”.
Be sure to grab “Revive” when it drops on February 8.
