Max Vangeli feat. Francis Marvel & Kacie Marie – Shine [NoFace Records]

It’s always important to start a new label with a bang, and that is exactly how Max Vangeli inaugurated his new NoFace Records imprint. The Moldovan producer has teamed up with singer-songwriters Francis Marvel and Kacie Marie to craft “Shine” as the label’s jumping off point. The breakdowns of this tune are dotted beautifully with the vocals of the aforementioned singers, with their voices gracefully cover a wide scale of note with incredible dexterity. Their vocals then trail off into an infectious breakbeat, which serves as an unconventional yet effective way to bridge the breakdown and drop. “Shine” culminates with a beautiful progressive house drop styling that has become the signature of Max Vangeli. The sound is dominated by an authentic piano as the lead sound, and filled in on the low-end with a grooving bassline to really make “Shine” a cohesive masterpiece. “Shine” sets the bar high for NoFace Records, and now Max Vangeli looks forward to a successful year at the helm of this new project.
