Martin Garrix Continues Beef with Spinnin’ Records By Disputing Legal Action
The dispute between Dutch superstar Martin Garrix and his former label Spinnin’ Records has gained yet another wrinkle. The label has stated earlier this week that they planned to sue Garrix because they “will lose lawful income” as a result of his highly-public split with them and their management company.
Martin Garrix has hit back by claiming that the label’s statement was “one sided” and “incorrect,” and that he plans to countersue the label, and his former manager at MusicAllStars, Eelko van Kooten. He plans to sue based on his claim that the label misled him when he signed an exclusive deal with the label at age 17. He has agreed to relicense the music that he has already released on the label until 2023, “with revised conditions in my favor,” according to a statement circulated by Martin Garrix‘s public relations.
