Shanahan – Heywire [Powerkat Recordings]

In case you missed it, American Shanahan is now the man in charge of his own label, Powerkat Recordings. He kicks off the label’s catalogue with one of his very own tunes, titled “Heywire”. The track got a huge premiere from Dannic on his Front Of House radioshow, and for good reason. This tune has an absolutely massive bassline, but does not try to blow you away with a massive bass kick. Instead, the focus is on an infectious groove that Shanahan has worked into his recent releases. The importance of the bassline continues on into the breakdown, as that entire sequence is held together by a loud and proud bass synth. The drops come together with a hefty layering of electro-influenced synths that seem to pair perfectly with the groovy bassline. “Heywire” is the perfect track for Shanahan to kick off his label with, and you can grab it now via the free download link below.
