Axwell Hints at Return of Swedish House Mafia
Hang on everyone, it seems like everyone’s favorite dance music trio might be making a return. In a radio interview debuting his latest solo single, former Swedish House Mafia member Axwell told Beats One host Zane Lowe that the potential for the trio’s return was no longer impossible.
“We think about it every now and then, you know what we left, what we did, what we accomplished and everything, and how it would be to do something together again. But I think, the only thing is that time will tell pretty much. We have been blessed to be riding this wave, and just ahead of the wave for some time now, so you know we are able to do exactly what we want, which is a blessing. You know this song that we just played, it was just like no thoughts, no need, no nothing, just music. Who knows what happens in the future, we might get a sudden urge for Swedish House Mafia again… who knows!”

After all of the fanfare that was the Swedish House Mafia‘s One Last Tour, fans have been clamoring for the three to reunite. Steve Angello has been focusing primarily on his family, his label, and most notably, his album. Meanwhile, the remaining two members have continued producing and performing as Axwell Λ Ingrosso. There’s no concrete news as of now, but it will not be entirely far-fetched to see Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell in the same DJ booth again.
Thank you!
Zane Lowe is hosting Apples Beats1, not BBC Radio One anymore!
