Florian Picasso – Want It Back (Origami) [November 16 – Protocol Recordings]
Think back to this summer, specifically July. That is when Florian Picasso made a huge splash on Protocol Recordings with “Origami”. That original got some huge support from names like Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Tiësto, and now Florian Picasso is back with a new spin on a previous hit. “Origami” now has a vocal mix, and a new name. “Want It Back” was debuted by label boss Nicky Romero back in September during his set at Ultra Music Festival Japan. Since then, its been making the runs around the radioshow circuit. The vocal mix known as “Want It Back” is scheduled for release on November 16 on Protocol Recordings.
Now, the majority of the track remains untouched in comparison to the original instrumental mix. That same mesmerizing chord progression that grows from a simple pluck into a full synth lead remains in the breakdown, this time featuring a male vocalist with smooth vocals. The emotion of the vocals grows as the instrumental grows louder, and aids in building up to that powerful progressive house drop. A lot of people hate on vocal mixes as they see them as unnecessary money grabs, but Florian Picasso did it right with “Want It Back”.
Grab “Want It Back” when it drops on November 16 via Protocol Recordings.
