LYAR ft. Blest Jones – Outta My Head (Outmakers x Leo Lauretti x BL3R Remix)

Progressive house is a tricky genre to master in my opinion. If the track doesn’t have enough energy you’re left with something that’s boring and if you have too much energy you kind of start wandering into the electro-house sub genre. Progressive house to me is supposed to be lighter and more uplifting, so striking that balance of having enough in the track to keep it lively, but not so much that it loses the easy listening quality of progressive house is not something every producer can get.

In this remix the Outmakers, Leo Lauretti, and BL3R actually got pretty close to that optimal energy level and the result is a relatively tame track that makes you feel good. When I saw that Bl3R was on this one I was frankly expecting something much harder because of hearing “Bass Cannon” and their trapstyle mix of “Bass Cannon”. Don’t get me wrong I like both of those songs, but in progressive house that’s not the kind of sound I’m looking for. As I said before though it’s a much tamer sound here and while this track isn’t groundbreaking it sounds good and that’s what really matters. The five producers have a sound that will appeal to a lot of people here and I think most fans will find this a very likable track.
