Matisse & Sadko vs. Vigel – TENGU [Doorn Records]

There has been a lot of Matisse & Sadko tracks up on the site lately, and for very good reason. The duo has now teamed up with fellow countryman Vigel for an absolutely massive tune by the title of “TENGU”. This track shows off the musical versatility that both artist groups involved possess, since they’ve been involved in many progressive house tunes in the past. “TENGU” has an unreal groove to it, and thats where it gains the majority of its strength from. The lead synths are powerful with a strong brass influence to them, and have a perfectly grooving bassline to match. The masterful composition of the track continues into the breakdown, as a wonderfully constructed melody takes over from the drop. Once the melody runs its course, it becomes time for another dose of that massive drop, and that certainly draws no complaints from my corner.
