Holl & Rush – Morse Code [October 12 – Flamingo Recordings]
After venturing away from their usual label home for a few tracks on Revealed, duo Holl & Rush is back on Flamingo Recordings. The “Napoleon” and “Stringer” hitmakers did well while away from the imprint, teaming up with Tom & Jame for “Buddha” and releasing “Shogun” on their WMC EP. “Morse Code” is similar in name to previous release “Sonar,” but comes about five months later. As far as we’re aware, this is not the ID from them that Hardwell has been dropping recently, however, it is a big track just the same. “Morse Code” will drop via Flamingo Recordings on October 12.
Just from pressing play, it’s pretty obvious where the track gets its title from. The breakdown begins with a heavily chopped since that actually sounds pretty similar to a Morse code system. Things get more put together from there, as a more cohesive layering of sounds is used in conjunction with a very engaging melody. It gets more interesting after that melody, as the sound decomposes into that very same stripped-down style as the buildup gets underway. The drop hits with signature Holl & Rush, making sure to have plenty of melodic elements while possessing plenty of firepower.
