Pep & Rash vs. Shermanology – Sugar [October 5 – Spinnin’ Deep]
Spinnin’ Deep has been an unstoppable force with their releases in the past few weeks, and that trend is definitely not slowing down. Their next massive offering, called “Sugar,” comes from two Dutch duos working together for the first time in the form Pep & Rash and Shermanology. Pep & Rash are already well established on the label with releases like “Red Roses” and “Rumors,” while Shermanology continues to ride the success of “Wait For You” with Dannic and “I Want You”. “Sugar” received its debut as a centerpiece in the Spinnin’ Records “After Summer Mix,” which dropped a few weeks ago. “Sugar” will drop on October 5.
The strongest part of this track is that each duo gets to show off what they’re best at. The first thing that hits when you listen to the preview is the bassline. It has a great groove to it, and will make your subwoofer more than happy. As that intro fades off into the background, Shermanology‘s world-famous vocals take centerstage. As Dorothy brings her vocals to a close, a new, percussive-style chord progression typical of Pep & Rash takes over for one bar. The drop then brings more bass in than before, and creates a killer vibe for future house fans everywhere.
