Kenneth G & Reez – Pop [Wall Recordings]
After Reez teamed up with KSHMR for a huge progressive remix for the Bassjackers‘ “Savior,” their next partner is Kenneth G. The track they pumped out from from studio time together is called “Pop,” and was released via Afrojack‘s Wall Recordings. “Pop” is a bit of a hybrid of a couple different sounds that come together very well. The top synth for the drop is actually use more often in Melbourne bounce music, But the bouncy element of the baseline is nowhere to be found on “Pop”. Instead, the bassline is 100% big room, but with a higher level of intricacy as compared to your average mainstream song. The chord progression for the middle breakdown’s melody is very similar to that of the drops, with some tweaks on the synth settings. “Pop” is a great addition to any DJ set, so be sure to grab the tune that names like Avicii and R3hab have already supported.
