Tiësto & The Chainsmokers – Split (Only U) [Musical Freedom]

The whole Tiësto edit thing got a little out of hand in the past few weeks. Worry not, however, as this is a full-fledged collaboration between the Dutchman and the American duo, The Chainsmokers. This one is called “Split (Only U),” and is easily one of the best tracks to come out during the second half of the summer. The first breakdown takes the tempo much slower and goes through an awesome orchestral sequence. Next, the vibe changes entirely with the addition trap drums and bassline. Then, the tempo speeds back up to your usual electro house speed and the lead synth changes as well. From there, the drop takes over with a killer chord progression and a razor sharp sound. “Split (Only U)” shows an awesome amount of musical variety from both Tiësto and The Chainsmokers, and will be played out for a while to come.
