KSHMR & Bassjackers feat. Sirah – Memories [August 31 – Spinnin’ Records]
This collaboration has been teased for months now, and well, it’s been worth the wait. Spinnin’ Records welcomes the combined sounds of KSHMR and Bassjackers together on a track called “Memories”. We got our first listen to “Memories” all the way back in late June as part of the Spinnin’ Festival Mix, and it has been played out countless times since then. KSHMR is fresh off a free collaborative remix for the Bassjackers, while the Dutch duo has just released a widely-supported remix for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike‘s “Higher Place”. “Memories” is set to drop on August 31.
Everything good about each artist’s style makes it into this track, and that’s what makes it such a highly-demanded tune. The breakdown starts off with a calm vibe, but don’t let that fool you. Sirah‘s vocal start off a little on the mellow side as well, but that all changes a few seconds in. The energy cranks up as the vocals get louder, and the instrumental in the background turns into a section of hard-hitting orchestral stabs. The extended buildup gives KSHMR and the Bassjackers a chance to weave the drop melody in as a teaser for the upcoming drop. The drop combines the staccato sound that the Bassjackers have used prominently together with a KSHMR-style smooth chord progression for the ultimate mainstage hit.
Grab “Memories” as it drops on the final day of August.
