Sebjak & Matt Nash feat. Eric Turner – Fire Higher [August 28 – Ultra Music]
Matt Nash has certainly made tremendous strides with his career throughout the summer months. His next step features this brand-new, marquee collaboration together with Swedish coproducer, Sebjak. The tune they created together is known as “Fire Higher,” and features American vocalist Eric Turner. Sebjak was most recently in the studio with fellow Swede AN21 for the Size Records release titled “Everything”. Matt Nash most recently collaborated with legendary vocalist Tara McDonald for a tune titled “Till The End” on Marcus Schössow‘s Code Red label. Plus, you can recognize Eric Turner‘s voice from his previous collaboration with Avicii known as “Dancing In My Head”. The label home for “Fire Higher” will be Ultra Music, and the official release date for the track will be August 28.
“Fire Higher” has a dominant sound of that goes in a completely different direction than each artist previous works. They didn’t try to reinvent the groove sound, but rather went all in for a progressive vocal anthem. The main focus of the breakdown sits easily on Turner’s vocals, as he sings on top of a pretty simple and mellow chord progression. As his vocals come to a close, and the buildup begins, there is a pretty obvious shifting energy. The drop that follows is anything but “simple and mellow,” but rather a high-octane progressive atmosphere with a killer baseline serving as its companion. Both Sebjak and Matt Nash outdid themselves with the composition.
Grab “Fire Higher” when it drops on August 28.
