Dyro Calls Out Seth Troxler, Many Producers Give Their Take
It bothers me, listening to bad music. It really upsets me. I've been calling all that stuff lately 'sonic ear rape'. He's sonically raping my ears.
The smell of Twitter beef is in the air, and no, deadmau5 is not involved this time.
The conflict unfolded today as Dutch DJ/producer Dyro finally caught wind of a 20 minute mini-documentary made by Seth Troxler from last summer’s Tomorrowland festival. Dyro reposted a short clip which showed Troxler in the mainstage crowd at Tomorrowland while Dyro was onstage. Troxler speaks over a recording of the Dutchman’s set, calling the music “sonic ear rape”.
Seth Troxler with some harsh words for Dyro during his mainstage set at Tomorrowland – do you agree?

Now, rape is not a word we should be throwing around at will, let alone to describe music. Dyro has actually done a pretty darn good job maintaining some sort of variety in his releases. In fact, he went out and created his own label after he decided the direction his music was heading in was different from that of Revealed Recordings. Dyro took his typical sarcastic approach to the whole situation, and big names came to his defense.
Didn't know I was cool enough to have @sethtroxler hate on my music. Next time I'll play you some vengeance loops.

@Dyro "it bothers me…that people have different tastes and different options. Plus they are having FUN dancing to "sonic ear-rape"!" 😭😭😭😭😭

@Dyro don't take it personal dude. :). Some people feel the need to express their hate to feel better. Just let them do their thing lol

@Zedd @Dyro yeah, don't mind this idiot. Apparently hate is the only way he will have people's interest in him for a few minutes. Sad to see

@Dyro Whatever with him brother. It's a shame for him acting like that. Maybe you should give him a production class, he'll need that.

In a since deleted tweet, Hardwell suggested Troxler contact he and Dyro for “good sounding techno”.
Well, what do you think? Is Seth Troxler right, or is he just hating on the success of the genre that’s not his?
