Afrojack feat. Mike Taylor – SummerThing! (Shapov vs. M.E.G. & N.E.R.A.K. Remix) [Wall Recordings]

This is one of our longest article titles in a while, so just bear with us. Afrojack followed his typical tradition of releasing a super pop oriented tune for the summer, and this one was appropriately titled “SummerThing!”. The track features vocalist Mike Taylor, and now has a harder remix thanks to these three Russians. Shapov, the former member of Hard Rock Sofa, teamed up with M.E.G. & N.E.R.A.K. for an absolutely killer remix of “SummerThing!”. The progressive/poppy energy that made the original such a radio hit still reigns supreme in the breakdowns, but the Russians took the drop to a new level. Hard electro synths are loud and proud on the top line, while a grooving bassline takes care of business on the low end.
