W&W & MOTi – Spack Jarrow [August 24 – Musical Freedom]
The percussive big-room craze might have struggled to make it past the summer of 2013, but here comes a revival. Two artists who were right in the thick of it then were W&W and MOTi, and their track “Spack Jarrow” is a blast from the past. This tune has been floating around since Miami Music Week this year, and has been one of my favorite ID tunes of late. W&W are fresh off the release of a progressive tune by the name of “The One,” while MOTi just worked together with Blasterjaxx on “Ghost In The Machine”. After months of patient waiting, W&W and MOTi will be dropping “Spack Jarrow” via Musical Freedom on August 24.
“Spack Jarrow” has an epic sound right off the bat, and combines a pluck melody with a sweet orchestral sound. That melody grows into sounds reminiscent of “Bigfoot,” and some of the other massive big-room tracks of old. Once the melody comes to a close, there’s a whole other section before the buildup begins. Two quick bass kicks and a snare repeated serve as a simple, but energetic bridge to the build. Once that build finishes, a killer drop combining a dope percussive sound and a huge square kick takes over. 2013-style big-room has never sounded better, and W&W and MOTi will have huge success with this one.
“Spack Jarrow” will drop via Musical Freedom on August 24.
