Vinai feat. Harrison – The Wave [Spinnin’ Records]

Come on, VINAI. It didn’t take long for me to not like the latest track from the Italian duo, and needless to say “The Wave” is not the best we’ve heard from them. Starting with the unimaginative lyrics things get off to a rocky start, but the generic drop is the worst part. Give me any artist from the Spinnin’ Records roster and this could be a track from them, it has no distinguishing characteristics and it certainly isn’t a very complicated track. It’s a shame that Harrison‘s vocals were wasted on such a blah track because, as we’ve heard before, he’s actually got a great voice. VINAI is capable of making some really good music, this track unfortunately does nothing to prove that statement. Releasing music on a consistent basis, but don’t slap a Spinnin’ logo on a generic picture of a random wave as the cover art for a generic and uninspired song and expect good results.
