Third Eye Blind – Semi-Charmed Life (Kasum Remix)
The intro to Third Eye Blind‘s “Semi-Charmed Life” is one of the more iconic sounds of the 1990s. It was a sound that has been kept separate from the mainstream dance industry until now, thanks to Kasum. If you’re not familiar with his work, Kasum has recently dropped a huge lot of sick remixes for your favorite 1990s songs. This new one for Third Eye Blind is special to me since they were introduced to me by someone very special to me, and this remix unites my kind of music with her’s. Kasum slows down the BPM from his typical progressive house sound and goes with a very upbeat moombahton style for “Semi-Charmed Life”. He frames the vocals perfectly with a rather subtle melody, but it doesn’t stay subtle for long. The track drops into the perfect summer vibe, with a good grooved to it and an incredibly catchy melody to it.
