Mark Morrison – Return Of The Mack (Kaytranada Live Edit)

A lot of people often rag on EDM as a genre because it’s become somewhat generic, but one man that goes by the name of Kaytranada has been keeping it real since he started producing. You can say many things about his music, but calling it generic isn’t something that applies. In a set he recently did for BBC he did a nice little mashup of Mark Morrison’s vocals from “Return of the Mack” with an old school beat from the hip-hop legend J-Dilla and he finally released a copy of it available to download for free. The blend of the the two genres and eras is smooth and very creative, something Kaytranada fans have come to expect. It’s different from pretty much any kind of typical EDM music you’re used to, but if you have an appreciation for the old school stuff then you’ll love this edit.
