David Guetta Sued for $6 Million Over Song “Dangerous”
Sometimes, the creative part of being in the music industry is the hardest part. News has apparently surfaced that the well-known French mainstream DJ/producer David Guetta has been sued for $6 million in damages over allegations he ripped off a lesser known artist for his song “Dangerous”. The lawsuit was filed by Andre Dudek, who claims that the Guetta track illegally sampled his song called “Illuminations”. The suit is not limited to Guetta, as it apparently names Warner Music, Sam Martin and Atlantic Records as potential culprits. Now, a simple search of the Internet for “Andre Dudek” does not retrieve any results besides news articles regarding this issue, so there is no actual way to verify the claim that Guetta stole the song.
The song above is the alleged offender, and only time will tell how the lawsuit plays out. Neither David Guetta nor anyone else named in the suit has commented on the matter.
