Quintino & Sandro Silva – Aftermath [Spinnin’ Records]
Four years ago, the big-room age began when Sandro Silva and Quintino released “Epic”. That duo has finally reunited with their names in the opposite order on the track credits to reprise with “Aftermath”. Both artists were revealed as responsible for the ID teaser posted by Spinnin’ Records a few weeks back, and celebrated this with a live DJ session from the Spinnin’ HQ in Amsterdam. They said that they found the beginnings of “Aftermath” lying around as a result of their studio work on “Epic,” and decided to finish it up and release it. For that reason, “Aftermath” bears many similarities to its predecessor. It has that same pluck synth that we all know and love, and seems to have an even fatter bass kick. While this all sounds fine and dandy, “Aftermath” seriously lacks in the creative department. “Epic” worked like a charm for both Quintino and Sandro Silva, but that doesn’t really excuse the huge similarities. All things considered, “Aftermath” has already seen massive DJ support, and will be a popular track at EDC Las Vegas this weekend.
