Axwell Λ Ingrosso Pull Song from American Presidential Candidate
It turns out that United States presidential candidate Marco Rubio will not be a part of something new as he attempts to win the Republican nomination for the United States presidency for 2016. The senator from Florida walked off stage at his campaign announcement to the tune “Something New” created by Swedish duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso, but that apparently was not agreed upon. The duo told Business Insider that they did not agree to allow Rubio or his team to use that song, and that they “don’t want to be affiliated with a particular party during the upcoming presidential race.”
Neither Rubio nor his team responded to a request for comment by Business Insider, but will hopefully comply with the duo’s request to leave the track out of future campaign events. “Something New” has been used to advertise the Beats By Dre headphones line, and was also used extensively by ESPN to promote the beginning of the new Major League Baseball season.
