Ssential – Breakdown [April 27 – Punk Kids Recordings]
Given their keen ability to sense new talent in the dance music community, Dutch label Punk Kids Recordings showcases their next release from Ssential. The latest from the Dutch solo artist also marks his second release on the label, and this one is titled “Breakdown.” While still relatively new to producing music on his own, Ssential has still been able to garner an impressive amount of plays on the various originals and remixes he is uploaded to his SoundCloud account. But there’s no question about it: if he keeps pumping out tracks like this, there will be no stopping this young producer. “Breakdown” is scheduled for release on April 27.
The label has cut the preview very short for some reason, as there’s no extended clip of the melody at all. Gauging from previous tunes, It should have a pretty solid sound with some progressive influences but an overarching, driving electro sound. The preview go straight into the buildup, which is pretty standard looping snares for just about 15 seconds. There is a quick vocal sample which introduces the drop that certainly blurs the genre lines between electro and progressive house. It does this by combining a melodic progression with a downright dirty synth choice.
“Breakdown” will be available on April 27 through Punk Kids Recordings.
