Jewelz & Sparks – Parade 98 [April 13 – Fly Eye Records]
Even though they fly under the radar sometimes, Jewelz & Sparks have been consistently bringing it with their newest tracks. After dropping a killer remix to Dannic and Shermanology‘s “Wait For You” and collaborating with Fedde le Grand on “Robotic,” the German duo returns to the Fly Eye Records label to drop “Parade 98”. October of 2014 saw them drop “Motor,” which topped out at #8 in the Beatport Electro House chart. “Parade 98” just started to make the rounds on DJ radio shows over the past week, and has appeared in the tracklist of just about every mix. Jewelz & Sparks are set to drop “Parade 98” on April 13.
The melody teases a very different sound than the usual from Jewelz & Sparks. The beginning of the break sounds like it should be in a future house song rather than this big-room style track. A combination of short synth stabs with a looped but catchy vocal section soon graduates into a full-bodied set of chords with so much energy that one simply cannot help but move their body along to the beat. The vocals and chords then fade into the background as the buildup changes the track’s direction. As the build concludes, the trademark percussive sound of Jewelz & Sparks appears once more. A rattling top line together with a grooving bassline is a recipe for yet another smash from the German duo.
“Parade 98” is set to drop via Fly Eye Records on April 13.
