Tom Staar – Bora [March 30 – Axtone Records]
Why must the good labels always make us wait? Fans have waited since October 2014 for the release of Tom Staar‘s “Bora,” and it seems as though Axtone Records has finally obliged. The tune in question first surfaced when Steve Angello invited both Kryder and Tom Staar to serve as guest DJs on his BBCR1 Residency show, and the two provided a killer B2B 10-track mix that spanned about 30 minutes. The last track in that mix was a catchy track that was mixed together with a Dirty South acappella, and caught the intrigue of the Internet. While “Bora” will be the first release for Tom Staar on the Axtone label, the label has already told us that “fans can be sure that [it] won’t be Tom’s last mark on the label.” “Bora” will be released on March 30.
Without question, fans keep flocking back to Tom Staar‘s tracks because of their ceaseless energy. That definitely remains the case on “Bora,” as his trademark grooving sound has once again enraptured the mainstream dance music community. The hook melody is as catchy as anything we’ve ever heard, and will be stuck in just about every listener’s head for weeks. Tom Staar‘s choice of synths combined with the aforementioned melody create a powerful and uplifting vibe that is ideally enjoyed on a bright day in the middle of the summer. The groove comes into play once the bassline hits, as the intoxicating pulse of the low end will definitely drive audiences everywhere crazy. Expect to hear this track everywhere during Miami Music Week, especially at the Axtone Miami show on March 27 at the Surfcomber Hotel.
The long-awaited “Bora” will be available worldwide via Beatport on Axtone Records on March 30.
