Julian Jordan – The Takedown [Doorn Records]

It’s no secret that Julian Jordan is quite familiar with bringing killer tracks to the Doorn Records catalog. Tracks like “Up In This” and “Rage” underscore the young Dutchman’s talent for producing just what the mainstream industry wants to hear. He definitely does not come up short on his next offering, titled “The Takedown”. This one features all of his trademarks, and simply put, that’s why it’s so strong. We’ve come to expect a wild melody followed by a creative and powerful electro style drop, and “The Takedown” provides just that. Julian Jordan then uses a similar melody lead to “Rage,” and a slightly more complex progression. After a quick vocal sample and breakdown, a high-pitch lead takes over for the drop, which is complemented by an emphatic bassline.
