Mocki – Weekend (Jai Wolf Remix)

After hearing the amazing melodic dubstep remix that Jai Wolf did for Alesso’s track “Heros” I decided to check out the rest of this young New York City based producers’ music and needless to say I’ve been very impressed. I’m not particularly a fan of the harder more heavy metal based dubstep, but Jai Wolf has a much more musical sound that combines a lot of elements from downtempo. His remix of “Weekend” by Mocki follows that trend and has some serious feels to it. The clean synth work and the mellow bass-line accent the vocals perfectly and it just fits with the lyrics. Jai Wolf is definitely someone to keep an eye out for in 2015 and if you happen to be in the Boston area he’ll actually be playing with Kap Slap and Gazzo at the Paradise Rock Club tomorrow.
