Shermanology – I Want You [January 19 – Work Records]
The move from trio to duo appears to be going smoothly for Shermanology. The now brother and sister team is focused on a continued upward swing, and has a great start with their first 2015 release. They will be heading to Work Records, a new subsidiary of Spinnin’ Records, for “I Want You”. The Dutch duo continues to ride on top of the success of their last vocal anthem, which was a collaboration with fellow countryman Dannic titled “Wait For You”. That track topped out at #7 on the overall top 100 chart, and Shermanology look poised for for the success with this next release. “I Want You” will be available for purchase on January 19.
This tune marks a shift in genre from the typical Shermanology sound. The majority of their previous productions have fallen under the umbrella of mainstream progressive/electro, but “I Want You” fits firmly into the ever-growing field of future house. The breakdown begins with a melody that is played out with an energy-filled future house lead. Like in every Shermanology production, there is a strong focus on vocals. Dorothy Sherman comes through yet again with her incredible soul filled sound, which sounds perfectly tuned to this new sound. After she nails the chorus, the future house sound takes over yet again with a grooving drop that is bound to get dance floors everywhere moving.
Grab “I Want You” once it is released on Work Records on January 19. Enjoy!
