Nari & Milani – Triangle [January 26 – Doorn Records]
After crafting what arguably became dance music’s biggest track in 2012, Italian duo Nari & Milani is ready to start 2015 with a similar smash. The sound of “Atom” has reverberated around some of the world’s biggest venues multiple times, and “Triangle” is next up. The track received a New Year’s Day debut from David Guetta on his radioshow, but is actually signed to the Doorn Records imprint. There is definitely more radio support to come for “Triangle,” as well as an edit from fellow Italian trio Delayers. The original mix of “Triangle” from Nari & Milani is due out through Doorn Records on January 26.
“Triangle” has a pretty simple composition, but that has proven to be a trademark in Nari & Milani tracks for a while now. The breakdown actually features the majority of the drop in it’s sound, but with a heavy dose of distortion and a bit of extra percussion. The sounds heard throughout are clearly influenced by acid house, and also by an old-school track from 1999 called “Flat Beat” by Mr. Oizo. The bassline during the drop sounds a bit similar, but has enough of a creative top synth to avoid too much resemblance to that older track. The low end of “Triangle” is also impressive, and is bound to give subwoofers everywhere a workout.
Grab “Triangle” when it drops on January 26. Enjoy!
