Row Rocka – Kingwood [December 8 – Revealed Recordings]
So far in his young career, the dance music community has been kind to Row Rocka. He has gained a reputation for being one of the youngest producers who has been able to consistently generate fresh sounds for all of his tracks. This ability has not been neglected by the community of record labels, as the Netherlands native already totes an impressive discography including tracks signed to Flashover Recordings and Revealed Recordings. After his track “Gate 9” was featured as part of the second Revealed Talent EP, Row Rocka has now signed his first solo track to the imprint with “Kingwood”. The tune first surfaced when Hardwell dropped it during Amsterdam Musical Festival, and continued to play the track for it’s official radio debut on Hardwell On Air. “Kingwood” will be released on December 8.
We get it: a lot of people are sick of the big kick phenomenon, but just give “Kingwood” a chance. Row Rocka has proved over the course of his productions that he will include a big kick, but will surround it with even bigger sounds to turn the track from generic big-room into a bonafide electro hit. This one starts out strong from the very first beat, as the chord progression fits with a strong pluck synth. This sound then grows into a full-fledged sound, which starts to bridge the gap between breakdown and drop. Row Rocka then brings in percussion, and this brings the melody to life in a brand new way. The buildup starts next, combining sliding pitches and intricate percussion to create a ton of suspense. The trademark drum breakdown signals the drop is on the way, and “Kingwood” gets even more crazy. A gigantic and distorted kick is combined with the perfect bassline and a wild top synth to create yet another club banger form Row Rocka.
Be sure to grab “Kingwood” when it drops on December 8.
