JAGGS – BleepDiFreak [December 1 – Revealed Recordings]
Well, we’ve been fooled again. After weeks of suspense and plentiful plays at some of the world’s biggest festivals, the next single on Revealed Recordings is not exactly what people expected. The song long rumored to be titled “What’s That Spell?” by Deorro has a totally different name, and a totally different producer. This tune is really called “BleepDiFreak,” and has come out of the studio of JAGGS, the Dutch duo who made their major label debut with “Karambit” on Hysteria Records. With this brand-new clarity regarding the track’s authenticity, “BleepDiFreak” will serve as JAGGS‘ debut on the label, and is set to be released on December 1.
It becomes obvious from the first listen onwards that “BleepDiFreak” was created with just one simple goal in mind: dancefloor destruction. The melody serves as a crossover between the progressive sound that “Karambit” was so successful with, while also layering a darker and heavier sound underneath. The progression is pretty simple, but serves the roles of raising the energy level of any venue. The combination of synths and a simple clap track make the breakdown a more dynamic section, and allows for plentiful crowd interaction. As the build begins to get underway, the melody is chopped up underneath, until comes back in full form to kick off the drop. The same progression and dark synth from the breakdown is paired together with a Melbourne house bassline to make “BleepDiFreak” on of JAGGS‘ best productions to date.
Be sure to grab JAGGS‘ “BleepDiFreak” when it drops December 1 through Revealed Recordings.
